Dubai Weekend Fun

New Year is almost upon us and there is no better place than Dubai to celebrate New Year’s Eve. People from all over the world are flying in Dubai this week to ring in their new year in this fabulous city.

But if you have been living in Dubai for a few years and have rung many a New Year’s Eve here, then maybe it is time for a change. In this blog, we will list a few options for celebrating New Year's Eve in and around Dubai:

1. Unspoilt beach in Abu Dhabi
We love the Saadiyat public beach on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island. It is one of the most natural and unspoilt beaches in UAE.

2. Coral watching in Oman
Oman is a 5-hour drive away from Dubai and the Oman dive centre is the perfect place to dive experience the rich coral life under the sea. Swim alongside the sharks, rays and other colourful fishes and stay on air-conditioned beach chalets that have a rustic feel about them.

3. A new year in the desert at Liwa
The Liwa region is located in Abu Dhabi on the northern edge of Rub'al Khali desert. This is the perfect spot for an outdoor adventure; you can go on a desert safari, or see the Tal Mireb, a large sand dune that is a popular tourist site.
